Doula package
In our doula package we offer support shaped individually after each couples needs and wishes. Preparation, on call-time, unlimited contact via text and phone and follow up after birth is all included.
Preparation
We will always begin with an initial interview free of charge where we get to introduce ourselves, you get to tell us about your pregnancy and birth expectations and ask questions.
If you choose us after this, we will meet three times in the comfort of your home. We will talk all about birth physiology, talk through relaxation techniques, how partners can best support, understand your options and evidence when it comes to induction, cesarean or spontaneous birth, birth planning for all scenarios. Mental birth preparation for all scenarios. Lastly, we will talk through the early postpartum period with your newborn and support you and your family with a postpartum plan.
Birth
Our on call period begins 2 weeks before your due date. During this time we will have text and phone contact until you feel the need for more hands-on support. We will then come to your home and support you there until you feel the need to head to your birth location. We are then with you throughout the entire birth, and two hours after your baby is born.
Postpartum
You have one in-home visit that can happen anytime in the 6 weeks we are on-call for you after your birth. We would like to see you within the first two weeks however, to support with breastfeeding, talk through the birth experience and anything else that may be coming up for you.
